Celebrate.
TO BEGIN WITH
May your hand be full for always, if only with another hand. May your heart be empty only long enough to give you cause to fill it up again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
MY DARLING
DENIELLE
This is 6-of-7 of my "Love Letters Unsent" series. I wrote them for Denielle back in 2008 when I frequently traveled to Cebu and Davao because of work. I promised to post one letter a day before before Denielle's birthday, but I broke that promise. =)
I wrote these letters during my stay in different hotel rooms. They were called "unsent" because I only made Denielle read them after I came back home.
A LOVE LETTER UNSENT VI (HAPPY BIRTHDAY)
Dear Denielle,
After all these years of writing about you and for you it’s no easy task to come up with something new to celebrate your 29th birthday, so let me put it this way:
I pray that when time comes for the Lord to take us, that He do so with us together at a ripe old age on the same year at the same time. For if I go first, I couldn’t bear the thought of your grief; while if you leave me, I don’t know how many more days I can last missing you. I can’t imagine living without you anymore.
Thank you for teaching me that love is bigger than romance, bigger than marriage, bigger than tolerance, passion, and friendship combined. You are God’s greatest gift to me in this temporary journey. Please know that you are the most special person in my heart now and always.
With that thought in mind, baby, today’s poem is the first of hundreds I’ve written for you since July 2001. I hope you still remember this one and it still affects you the way it had eight years ago.
Love,
Your brother, partner & friend,
Emon

Raymund's Random Insights
Be thankful for the small things in life, they always make the difference.
Nearly everything is possible with love, but nothing works without it.
If you stargaze long enough, you learn that no two fireballs or constellations are alike, and the star that shines brightest is often the one most different. Resolve, therefore, to be unique by being you.

Poem of the Week
PAANO
by Raymund Tamayo
Paano ako makagagawa
Ng isang munti at abang tula
Kung wala naman akong pag-aalayan?
Paano ko aabutin
Paano ako makagagawa
Ng isang munti at abang tula
Kung wala naman akong pag-aalayan?
Paano ko aabutin
Ang buwan at mga bituin
Kung wala naman akong paghahandugan?
O Bathala, ang puso ko’y nangungulila
Naghahanap ng makakasama
Sana ay nandito siya.
Paano ako magmamahal
Ng wagas at habambuhay
Kung wala namang sa puso’y pumipintig?
Paano ko aawitin
Ang mga awit ng pag-ibig
Kung wala namang sa puso’y makikinig?
O Bathala, ang puso ko’y nangungulila
Hinahanap hindi makita
Sana ay nandito siya.
Paano ako mahihinto
Sa pagtanaw sa dulo ng mundo
Kung wala naman ang kanyang titig?
Paano ko aaliwin
Ang sarili sa mga luho ng mundo
Kung wala naman ang kanyang tinig?
O Bathala, ang puso ko’y nangungulila
Kailangan ay yakap niya
Sana ay nandito siya.
Paano ako makangingiti
Kung ang dahilan ng saya
Sa akin ay wala?
Paano ko aayusin
Ang suklay ng buhok
Kung asam ay kanyang tuwa?
O Bathala, ang puso ko’y nangungulila
Lumilipad walang kasama
Sana ay nandito siya.
Paano ako matutulog
Kung ang dahilan ng himbing
Ay wala sa piling?
Paano ko aamuin
Ang ihip ng hangin
Kung asam ay kanyang lambing?
O Bathala, ang puso’y nangungulila
Sino’ng nais makasama?
Siya lamang at wala ng iba.
Kung wala naman akong paghahandugan?

AND FINALLY
February 22 is Denielle’s birthday. She will be reading this entry when she wakes up tomorrow as one of my birthday presents for her. I pray for her all the best and all the love because she deserves nothing short of them.
Again, a very happy birthday to you, baby. And to all of you, sleep warm and I’ll see you again here “Up on the Roof” next time.
Thanks for stopping by - see you when I see you.
